Refund & Donation Policy

Voluntary donations, membership contributions, secure payments, refunds, chargebacks, and fund use.

Purpose

The Leaders of Tomorrow Club is committed to managing all financial transactions with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

This Refund & Donation Policy explains how membership contributions, optional donations, sponsorship-related funds, and refunds are handled through the Leaders of Tomorrow Platform.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that all members, donors, sponsors, and users clearly understand:

How payments are processed.
When refunds may be granted.
How donations are used.
How financial abuse is prevented.
The Club's commitment to responsible financial management.

This Policy applies to:

Membership contributions
Optional donations
Online payments
Future paid events (if introduced)
Sponsorship-related financial transactions
Refund requests
Chargebacks
Payment disputes

This Policy does not apply to transactions conducted outside the official Leaders of Tomorrow Platform unless expressly stated by the Club.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Policy:

Membership Contribution
The annual amount paid to become or remain an active Club member.

Donation

A voluntary financial contribution made to support the Club's mission.

Refund
The return of money previously received by the Club.

Chargeback
A payment reversal initiated by a cardholder through their financial institution.

Payment Provider
A trusted third-party service used to process online payments.

Membership Contributions

Membership contributions support the operation and development of the Club.

The minimum annual contribution is:

50 MAD

The Executive Board may establish optional contribution tiers above the minimum amount.

Membership contributions help fund:

Student activities
Leadership programs
Workshops
Conferences
Volunteer initiatives
Community projects
Digital platform maintenance
Technical infrastructure
Club administration
Promotional materials
Equipment
Training resources

Payment of the membership contribution does not guarantee election to leadership positions, committee appointments, scholarships, awards, or any other special benefit beyond the rights associated with membership.

Voluntary Donations

The Platform may invite users to make voluntary donations to support the Club.

Donation opportunities may appear:

During membership registration
After successful membership approval
During event registration
After event participation
On dedicated donation pages
At other appropriate locations within the Platform

Donations are entirely optional.

Choosing not to donate will never:

Affect membership approval.
Affect event registration.
Affect committee selection.
Affect leadership opportunities.
Affect access to Club services.

The Club does not pressure users into making donations.

Payment Methods

The Platform may accept payments through secure payment providers, including:

PayPal
Visa
Mastercard
American Express (where supported)
Other payment methods approved by the Club

Payment methods may vary depending on the country, payment provider, and technical availability.

Payment Security

The Club prioritizes payment security.

Payments are processed through trusted third-party providers that implement industry-standard security measures.

The Platform does not intentionally store:

Full credit card numbers
CVV/CVC security codes
Banking passwords
Payment PINs

Sensitive payment information is handled by the payment provider in accordance with applicable security standards.

Refund Policy

The Club understands that exceptional circumstances may arise.

Refund requests will be considered fairly, consistently, and in good faith.

Each request will be evaluated individually based on:

The nature of the payment
The reason for the request
The timing of the request
Applicable legal requirements
Supporting documentation where appropriate

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.

Non-Refundable Payments

Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Executive Board, the following payments are generally non-refundable:

Membership contributions after approval of membership.
Voluntary donations.
Administrative processing fees (if applicable).
Optional support contributions.
Payments already used to provide the requested service.

This policy helps ensure financial stability for the Club and allows long-term planning of activities and projects.

Exceptional Refunds

The Club may, at its sole discretion, approve refunds in exceptional situations, including but not limited to:

Duplicate payment made by mistake.
Technical payment error resulting in multiple charges.
Unauthorized transaction confirmed by the payment provider.
Payment collected due to a verified system malfunction.
Other exceptional circumstances approved by the Executive Board.

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

Membership activation may be delayed.
Event registration requiring payment (if any in the future) may remain incomplete.
Donation processing may be cancelled.
Users may be invited to retry the payment.

The Club is not responsible for failures caused by:

Bank restrictions
Insufficient funds
Expired payment methods
Network interruptions
Payment provider outages

Chargebacks

Users should contact the Club before initiating a chargeback whenever possible.

If a chargeback is initiated:

The Club may temporarily suspend related services while the dispute is investigated.
Evidence may be submitted to the payment provider.
Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account restrictions or termination.

Nothing in this Policy limits the user's rights under applicable payment network rules or consumer protection laws.

Fraud Prevention

To protect members and donors, the Platform implements measures designed to prevent payment fraud and abuse.

These measures may include:

Email One-Time Password (OTP) verification
Cloudflare Turnstile
Browser fingerprint verification
Device verification
IP rate limiting
Secure authentication
Payment provider fraud screening
Audit logging
Duplicate payment detection

Transactions identified as suspicious may be delayed, declined, or reviewed before completion.

Financial Transparency

The Leaders of Tomorrow Club is committed to responsible stewardship of all funds.

Subject to operational needs and confidentiality obligations, the Club may publish periodic summaries of how funds are used.

Financial resources may be allocated to support:

Educational activities
Student development
Community service
Digital infrastructure
Marketing and communication
Administrative operations
Equipment and supplies
Event organization

Where required by law or institutional policy, additional financial reporting may be provided.

Sponsorship Funds

Funds received from sponsors or institutional partners are managed separately from voluntary donations where appropriate.

Sponsorship agreements may include specific conditions regarding the use of funds, provided that such conditions are consistent with the Club's mission, values, and applicable law.

The Club maintains editorial and operational independence and does not allow sponsorship to compromise its integrity or governance.

Donations are used to advance the mission of the Club.

Examples include:

Organizing educational events
Leadership development
Student competitions
Community outreach
Volunteer initiatives
Purchasing equipment
Website hosting
Cloud services
Software licenses
Printing materials
Awards and certificates
Operational expenses

The Executive Board is responsible for ensuring that donations are used responsibly and in accordance with the Club's objectives.

Donor Recognition

The Club may recognize donors publicly, such as through acknowledgments on the Platform or at events.

Public recognition will only occur with the donor's consent where required.

Donors may request to remain anonymous.

The amount of an individual's donation will not be disclosed publicly without the donor's explicit permission.

Tax & Receipts

Where applicable, the Platform may issue electronic payment confirmations or receipts.

Users are responsible for determining whether their payments qualify for any tax treatment under applicable law.

The Club does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.

Currency

All membership contributions, donations, and other amounts are displayed in the currency specified by the Club for the relevant transaction.

Where payment providers support multiple currencies, any conversion rates or additional fees are determined by the payment provider or the user's financial institution.

Changes to This Policy

The Club may revise this Refund & Donation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

Payment methods
Applicable laws
Club operations
Financial practices
Technology

Updated versions will be published on the Platform, and material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable.

Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised version.

Questions regarding payments, donations, sponsorship funds, or refund requests should be submitted through the official contact information published on the Leaders of Tomorrow Platform.

The Club will review inquiries as promptly as reasonably possible.

Acceptance

By paying a membership contribution, making a voluntary donation, or completing any financial transaction through the Leaders of Tomorrow Platform, you acknowledge that:

You have read and understood this Refund & Donation Policy.
You agree to its terms.
You understand that donations are voluntary.
You understand that membership contributions and donations are generally non-refundable except as described in this Policy or required by applicable law.

Electronic acceptance of this Policy through the Platform shall have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature, subject to applicable law.
